COLLABORATIONS
THE MUSIC. THE FRIENDSHIPS. THE MEMORIES
Russell never spoke much about who he had played with.
Not because there weren't stories to tell, but because humility was at the heart of who he was.
He played for the love of music, for the people beside him on stage, and for the moment a song came alive.
Along the way he earned the respect of fellow musicians, lifelong friendships, and a reputation as a musician's musician.
This page honours some of those collaborations, friendships, and shared journeys.

DEAD RINGER
A defining chapter in Russell's journey. As the cornerstone of Dead Ringer, he helped create electrifying live performances and a devoted following that set a new standard for Irish rock.
More than a band, Dead Ringer was the foundation of many of Russell's lifelong musical friendships. Through different chapters, line-ups, and later offshoots such as The Three Amigos, the connections forged during those years continued throughout his career.
SLIPPERY WHEN WET
Bon Jovi Tribute Band
Reuniting with longtime friend Colin Brophy, Russell depped for Slippery When Wet, bringing his guitar mastery and stage presence to Ireland's premier Bon Jovi tribute experience.

TEENAGE KICKS
A new chapter for Russell — joining Teenage Kicks and reconnecting with the new energy of punk rock alongside other seasoned musicians.
Another chapter, another stage, the same passion.
Though the full story of Teenage Kicks was just unfolding, Russell's passion for new projects never waned.
