Long after establishing himself as a musician, he continued studying, researching and developing new skills. Whether it was music production, journalism, photography, technology or wildlife, he approached every subject with the same enthusiasm and determination.

FROM STUDENT TO CREATOR
During his Music Production for Games studies at Griffith College, Russell didn't just learn about game audio - he built a complete game project and composed the accompanying soundtrack.
Combining creativity, technology and music production, the project brought together many of the skills he had spent time developing.
It eas another example of Russell's belief that learning should always lead to creating.

Curiosity in Action
While fishing in Cong in May 2024, Russell learned of the first recorded sighting in Ireland of the Yellow Crowned Night Heron.
Fascinated by the story, he researched the species, it's migration, behaviour and how it may have crossed the Atlantic.
He grabbed his camera and headed out.
He searched patiently and was thrilled to capture photographs of this rare visitor.
